The remote desktop sharing in Linux Mint 13 allows anyone to connect, view and control your desktop from their computer through remote access clients with VNC server running on it. Linux Mint 13 comes with Vino, a default Gnome VNC server.
To enable remote desktop sharing, go to Menu > Preferences > Desktop Sharing .
Next, select ” Allow other users to view your desktop” this will enable others to see your computer without any control. If you want other users to control your desktop then you can select “Allow other users to control your desktop“. There are other security options like password and confirmation that you should choose to establish a secure desktop sharing.

Mint 14 doesn’t provide a Desktop Sharing option. Do you know how to set it up in Mint 14?
